RF Amplifiers

For nearly 50 years Crown has been designing and manufacturing amplifiers.  Our audio amplifiers are the world standard in performance, quality, and reliability for a variety of sound reinforcement applications.  Our D-75 is the de facto studio monitor amplifier throughout radio broadcasting.

 

In the 1970s Crown began to explore industrial and medical applications for power amplifiers.

 

This legacy of excellence in power amplifiers is now being applied to RF applications.  Our low and medium power amplifiers are distinguished by not only the Crown name but their efficiency and solid performance.

 

In the 2 kW range, Crown offers a 2000 watt amplifier with separate DC power supply for versatility in installation.  The broadband amplifier requires no field or factory tuning and is 75-80% efficient across the band.  It features two 500-watt power modules and a responsive protection mode.  The DC supply is power factor corrected and provides 95% efficiency.

 

The size and weight of each of these units means that they can be shipped overnight and leads to ease of installation.  (In addition, there are only three simple connections between the units.)

 

Combine the amplifier and power supply with any existing exciter or with a Crown full-featured exciter for an unbeatable transmitter package.
