1. Can I buy your transmitters directly or do I have to go through a dealer?

Crown Broadcast works with an extensive and accomplished group of the best RF Dealers in the Industry. To find a U.S. Dealer near you, click here. To find an International Dealer, click here.

2. I’m looking at equipment from other transmitter manufacturers and it seems yours are a bit more expensive. Why?

Crown Classic transmitters provide ultra reliable performance with best-in-class service and support. Our Classic Series still uses Torroidal power supplies (FM300 and below) which allow for maximum reliability with all types of power. Classic Crown systems also include options offering built-in audio processor/stereo generator or DSP based AM/FM receiver for translator use.

Crown E-Series transmitters are the result of our relationship with WorldCast Systems in Bordeaux, France and their Ecreso FM transmitters. The E-Series products offer a solid, reliable, and ultra feature rich FM platform. This includes digital exciter, digital stereo generator, TCP/IP connectivity, built-in RDS generator and built-in audio back-up, all in a compact, easy to use transmitter – from 100 to 10kW’s.

3. Speaking of WorldCast Systems, why did Crown Broadcast decide to re-label some other company’s products?

Crown Broadcast is in a lot of ways a victim of our own success. The Classic Series, with its reputation for rock solid reliability, is an awesome FM transmitter. The Classic Series is also limited in the amount of technology that can be put into it to increase its functionality to meet all broadcasters’ needs. We did exhaustive R&D and design work on a new transmitter line that could be built in conjunction with our Classic line, and when we were done and the budget was put in place we realized we had just described the WorldCast Systems, Ecreso line of FM transmitters. This was a perfect match at the perfect time and WorldCast Systems and Crown Broadcast enjoy a great relationship that only gets stronger as time goes on.

4. What makes the E Series any different than a Classic Crown transmitter?

All Classic Crown transmitters are built here in Elkhart, Indiana and as they are built they go through exhaustive quality control examinations to ensure that when the product leaves the factory it will perform flawlessly in the field. The E Series products come directly to our dock from Bordeaux, France and are inserted in our assembly inspection process as if it came from our own assembly line. The units are tested by the same people using the same processes as our Classic units, meaning when they leave here they are, in effect, Crown Broadcast transmitters. Also, all service and support (available 24/7) is located in Elkhart, but in the event we need assistance we have experts from WorldCast located in Miami, Florida and Bordeaux, France available at all times.

5. Do you produce anything besides Transmitters/Exciters/Translators?

Yes we do. Crown also manufactures and supports our Receiver products: the RFBADSP based AM/FM/WR/PS triple tuner for EAS and translator use, and we also have the CT-1 internal receiver for our Classic and E-Series products.
